To whom it might concern:

I’m a Masters student at Brigham Young University. I’m completing a Masters in Hispanic Linguistics. Right now I’m working on my thesis so that I can defend it this summer. I came across your job posting in the Internet, and I’m very interested in working as a Latin teacher at your school.

I completed my Bachelors in Classical Studies and Latin Teaching with a Minor in Spanish Teaching at Brigham Young University in 2011. Also, I completed my Student Teaching requirements at Maeser Preparatory in Lindon, where I taught seven and eight grade Latin and Spanish classes.

I’m very interested in work in your college. I have been working at university level for 3 years and I enjoy the environment. I believe that as a teacher you can make impact in their lives in the college level because I can help them to decide that Spanish culture and literature are one the best decision that they can make in their lives.

I think I can be a valuable tool for your school because I consider myself a competent teacher who puts many hours of preparation for each class, and really cares about the progress of each individual student. Also, I can contribute with my knowledge of using technology in the classroom in order to make Latin learning a fun, meaningful, and worthwhile experience for your students.

I am a very easy going person that gets along very well with both students and faculty, and I’m always ready to learn from other teachers’ techniques.

I greatly appreciate the time you have taken to read this letter, and I hope to hear from you soon.

Regards,

Jose Manuel Hernandez Gonzalez
